During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Hadza, who normally depend on tourism for supplemental income, were left to rely on the land to survive. The Hadza have lost access to the majority of their ancestral land and suffer from lack of wildlife and natural resources. This has made it very challenging to survive through difficult times. The Meleka Foundation is helping support individual Hadza camps by sending provisions such as food, blankets, and clothing.
